I believed I understood all your pains all your fears I loved you for your sorrows you despised me because of mine I am sorry I was silence an unspoken hurt you did not comprehend I am sorry you were part of the secrets but your own silence was the void of my desolation I needed you unknowingly, you were never there

Poignant and beautiful.
Thank you so much :)
Love this one…I often find myself in the hurt of the silence…but only because the other is knowing. Terrific poem, Sage.
Thanks Momma, your comments mean a lot :)
Very sad, but I still loved it.
Awesome, thank you!
Wow!! First impression…it is a sad truth that at some level we all know, secrets can destroy relationships…and most times the mistake is that we assume the other won’t accept us – fear. Second impression…our selves talking to our selves….Blog post idea!! (hopefully if I can get myself to sit without surfing the net and actually write it out! LOL!)
Thank you, all it takes is a little communication sometimes to prevent this sort of thing. And glad I inspired a blog post! lol
