Whole sound and virtue
you are my strength
like a virulent wind rushing through me
I hear every word from your lips
a song against a plague
a plague of all my weakest moments
amidst the faults and sorrows
that make me who I am
binding our souls, yet let me go
you are my strength,
though you drown me, strength to keep you,
hold you back from your self abuses
you make me strong, despite my weariness
swollen regrets in order to protect you
holding you in safety
protecting you
from yourself
