Pulling with angst and draped with hunger
there is no respite for this body
when once repast another blunder
another word amongst the sundry

Pass me by, shed disregard
as I vanish within the dark
like a dealer who holds the cards
my mind is clear, but grim and stark

Forget the fortune I have foretold
empty words disperse with fate
and time lurks on, making me old
during each phase as I sit and wait
